I explained what I think of that before. I'm not saying that Fury isn't a nightmare style for the cowardly Wlad after he got with Steward but the Wlad before that, I don't see Fury winning at all. I don't see Wlad just following him around throwing nothing all night.

How is Fury a fringe contender? He probably had the best resume out of all of the none title holders other than maybe Povetkin.

his best win is del boy, himself a fringe player.

if you beat a fringer you are then simply a better fringer. You don't automatically become the number one challenger in reality, whatever the corrupt governing bodies want to make you out as.

My personal view is that he should retire when on the ebb, which empahatically was late 30s for all HW champions at the most,, and its clear wlad is following the pattern set from the day of the superlative Jack Johnson giving up the title ghost at 37 to Lennox quitting the world title at 38, these guys all clearly made the right choice.

Probably yes. After the Pulev fight would have been the best moment.

You can't play hindsight. Wlad at 38 looked very good so no he should not have retired.

If he does not win the re-match with Fury, then he should retire.

yes you can if you have wisdom and the knowledge that all the other hw champs in history were retired from title defending by 38.

this is a thing called appraisal and knowledge, wlad is not ignorant of hw history as you appear to suggest.

I see him winning the rematch and possibly trying to unify with whoever has the Greenbelt before finally calling it a career

He's too smart to push it too long, but he's confident he can handle a rematch with fury, as I am I

But beyond that who knows,,? I hope to see hm try to unify though
