I don't know how much he could change at his age

That said I don't think Banks can take him to another level

If Manny steward was yelling at Wlad during the fury fight he probably would have let his hands go a little

He's 40 facking years old. If he fights against it can be only fury. That's the only rated hw wlad even has a chance at winning

It's up to Wladimir to let the hands go. At 40... bad sign. I don't see a change of trainer really fixing that despite being confident that Banks doesn't really bring too much to the table. I am also confident that a trainer matters less to Wladimir than most any other fighter going.

Wlad's been having to be told to let his hands go for several of his fights, dating back to when Steward was with him. It isn't anything new. But now he's lost, finally people call on him to make a change, which I believe doesn't lie in the trainer (though I've long said Banks is not a legit trainer for Wlad), Wlad has to realize it himself that he can't always be so cautious and overthink everything in the ring and wait for that perfect opening or rely on hanging on the opponent until their exhausted, and he's just not wired that way. Seeing how he snapped back at Emmanuel when he got on him, he just doesn't see a trainer as an authority figure, but rather an employee or partner at best.

    This.
Everyone and his grandma were shouting the same thing to him while watching the fight. You don't need a world level trainer to tell Wlad what he did wrong there. This is not something a trainer can fix, Wlad has to fix that himself.

Vlad always seemed more like an accountant than a fighter very controlled and treated his trainer's like his office staff .Fine until things get tough.

Wlad needs to look at his 20 year old self's fights, over and over, until he realises that is how he must tackle Fury. Fury's style is obviously poison for "cautious Wlad".

If Wlad throws 30% more punches in the rematch he will win. Does he really need Abel Sanchez to tell him that?
