His stock dropped through the floor tonight, a midget 5ft 4" fair haired former average power punching 154lb fighter done what he couldn't and drop the great Kovalev for the count last night and Yardes meant to be a boiled down cruiser with monstrous power.. Should he carry on or is a gym instructor more suited ?? Thoughts

No, he should fight Canelo first.

if you go by the narrative the butthurt girls are trying to formulate, yarde is absolute garbage if he got got by a shot old man.

If Yarde had managed to pull it off against the one-handed shell of Kovalev 100% Clenelo would've ducked him and I'm being deadly serious about that.

His stock dropped tonight, yes. He's overrated, yes. But almost any UK fighter is, so, it's ok.

Yarde has a way better chin than Canelo, you know that right? Kovalev hit Canelo flush once, and he had him in retreat that entire round. Sadly he didn't want to gas himself out. So he didn't follow up on it. Yarde on the other hand soak up 100's of jabs and rights. He could take the best Canelo has to offer and then some. So no. I'm saying Yarde would be a tough ass fight for Canelo.

But Canelo stopped Kov who stopped Yarde though, what sense does that make?

That's not how body works. That's the kind of sense it makes.

Yarde would miss 90% of his shots v Canelo though, he doesn`t have a clue how to box guys with these kinds of skills, he`s not a world class boxer at all.

Calzaghe would have had a great fight with Canelo and would have boxed Yarde`s ears off, but you`re right a lot of Brit figters are overrated, but a few were very good.

Hes used to bigger punchers, but chin wise Canelo is sturdy as they come, I couldn't really be exact, I thought Kov had lost his pop for a while now, zero power to what he had..Canelo v Yarde, nah ya can keep it !

At Light Heavyweight the moment Canelo shares the ring with a big guy, who acts like a big guy, who has decent punch resistance. They walk right through him show him no respect, and beat his skull in. That's a very real possibility in a match like this.
