I was wondering if any one could share there experiences with me on dealing with labral tears, if they had surgery or not?. I had key hole surgery for an ac joint incision and bursa removed but had to leave a 2cm tear in posterior of labrum, as i couldnt afford to have 3 months off work. The surgery was 6 months ago and have been doing weight training, rotator cuff exercises to stregthen the shoulder, so over last couple weeks got back into boxing. Since then the pain in my shoulder has came back and im getting some clicking in the shoulder and instability. ive had to stop so looks like surgery is my only option unfortunately. If any one could share there experiences on recovery after the surgery etc it would be great. Thanks

I'm interested in this too. I have the exact same condition. I've been doing PT for 5 months and am scheduled to have surgery in April

I've separated my shoulder several times(sports) but I never had surgery. As a result, my shoulders do click (on occasion) when I work out or exercise...which is often. The issue is more annoying than painful, but I still thought it was worth a mention. I think a dislocation would have warranted surgery but a separation is really nothing for me.

Im currently recovering from a labral tear as I had keyhole stabilisation surgery in December. Was hoping to be back training by this stage but to be honest my shoulder feels no where near ready to be throwing punches. I'm currently just doing weight training and exercises to build it back up and looking to start swimming next week as a few people have recommended it

Frustrating but hopefully be back to full fitness in the next couple of months
