Remember how scared Arum was about Manny fighting Floyd on May 5? According to Bob Manny's barely cut eye needed damn near 7 or more months to heal! No way he can be ready on May 5 unless Floyd goes to jail then Manny would be ready.......November, hmmm, that don't sound like enough time for Algieri to heal properly or is it just Manny whose cuts only heal on Arum's schedule? And how is this "huge" Pac-Algieri event going to happen so soon, don't Bob got to build a stadium or something in Macau?

OK....this fight is no worse than Madaina. But, Im not defending Madaina fight either. BUT....if May can school Madaina like he was fully expected to last time out, and if Pac can run over Algeri like he used to do, and this is what is needed to build up a fight between two aging superstars...... THEN...... I'll concede to both cherrypicks.....b/c I finally believe Floyd is gonna fight Manny....and I believe he KNOWS he's getting TKOd.....and he knows he'll get a rematch, and whether he wins or not, he's still gonna make something close to 250 million bucks for 3 fights, even if he loses all 3. Algieri is an "Opponent" Bop could care less about him... He was prob the only dude willing to take P-Nutz & travel to Macau to fight Manny. (With the entire deck stacked against him)
Was Chris actually cut badly though? Just looking at a few google images of his eye and it seems it was mostly swelling. if he was cut it doesn't look to be anything of concern or in need of stitching. I would think the swelling would go down and bruising heal up quicker then a cut requiring multiple stitches as I recall Manny's needed. Or maybe my memory serves me wrong and Pacman wasn't cut to bad.
The point I'm making is that Manny was not cut badly at all, was already healed at the time Floyd was offering the fight....yet Bob played his cut for all its worth to prevent a Mayweather fight on May 5, on the flip side, Algeri has a Vitali, Rahman looking eye....didn't hear Bob Arum mention one word about whether he will be healed or not in time for a fight againt Pacquiao.
