Shouldn't Dirrel's boxing license be voided, for it's own good?

Boxing is a contact sport, and i believe when you show neurological symptoms so far away from a fight, the boxer should be protected for it's own sake and not be allowed to box anymore.

It's not like Dirrell took some monstruous shots or endured a sustained beating;yet he showed distress after being hit, and now is suffering undisclosed head injuries.

Joe Mesi retired after suffering swelling in the brain; Dirrell should follow it's example and relinquish his belt. He made some money already.

    Better safe than sorry.
Boxing doesn't need another black eye.

    This is a valid point.

Notice how Dirrell's doctor said he couldn't fight for three months? The fight with Ward was delayed two months already so why not wait for three now?

    Dirrell simply wanted out. *****.

Mark my words he'll be back in that ring asap.

Ofc the real tragedy is Dirrell relies on speed with very little boxing skill and that speed depreciates with age and the S6 will go on a while still with Ward likely winning while Bute would kick his ass so it looks like Dirrell will never win a belt since we know he won't fight his friend.

Oh the tears for Dirrell. Let's get our Violins out for poor old Dirrell the eh?

I agree. If he has a problem then he shouldnt be allowed to box again.

Besides boxing doesnt need anymore cowards like him anyway. Its an excuse and everyone knows it.

IF he fights again they should make him fight ward THEN bute THEN abraham so he gets destroyed 3 more times

I agree, its a good point. The punch from Abraham was hardly forceful,clean/flush and for him to suffer neurological damage from such impact, it begs the question, how is he even still alive? For the sake of boxing and for himself, he should have his license revoked.

If i was a boxing commissioner, i would take a long, hard look at licensing Dirrell to fight in my state.

In any case, Dirrell needs to vacate asap his title, as he's unfit to defend it.

He'll be back within 18 months when the super 6 is over to sign a contract with HBO. Then claim he has had no symptoms since.
