Shouldn't fighters feel entitled to Unify titles?

I don't know about you, but if I was in possession of a belt, I would start from day 1 to try and negotiate a unification bout, even better a tournament with all belt holders. Its better for the sport.

I realize if your making money with your title, why take chances? But still, out of respect for the sport, try to unify.

    IMO.

    Your Thoughts?

    That's easy to say.

Unless boxers fight without negotiations and just by verbal agreement, you are just dreaming.

Of course a lot (not all, some boxers know they are in danger of losing, belt is their leverage in negotiations) of fighters want to unify, but still didn't.

Politics, lack of leverage etc. There's a lot of factors to consider.

Still, fighters like Chris John. Don't you think he gets heckled about his constant whoring of his title? Guess the money is too important to him.

The Ring needs to redo the rules. And also I noticed that some fighters are starting to legitimize the IBO stap

I don't think belts mean as much anymore. Fighters probably feel the same way since they aren't that hard to obtain.
