Shouldn't Stevenson actively pursue a fight with Ward?

Stevenson and Kovalev couldn't agree on a match after a couple of tries and he is near the end of his career due to age. He must be looking for a career pay day before retirement, so isn't Ward a logical choice at this time?

Stevenson already offered a two-fight series to Ward and Ward flat out refused as usual even if one of the fights was in his hometown. Stevenson vs Kovalev has better chances to happen than anything with Ward.

Stevenson is a Haymon fighter. Ward is with RocNation.

ward doesn't take competitive fights . froch was a good challenge for ward (on paper), but the truth is froch is slow and predictable, which is any easy style for ward to beat. superpimp is explosive, big, and unorthodox which is why ward is happy fighting bums on BET.

Stevenson gets paid a lot more than people think. his fights sell out. his tv ratings are huge.

    his purse is 7 digits.

good point, superpimp has all the leverage here. ward probably wants to drain him, and have him fight in oakland with corrupt judges and a corrupt referee.

They both want nothing to do with Beterbiev or Kovalev

That's is true, but is Stevenson aware of this? If so, what would be the purpose of his offer to Ward. The offer sounds well thought of as 1 fight each on their own turf. Or is this just the case of Ward being more realistic about the situation?
