Shouldn't Ward be grateful to Goossen for home advantage in all his Super Six fights?

Ward had all his fights in his home country during the Super Six.

Ward fought the champion Mikkel Kessler in Oakland with a California referee Jack Reiss who permitted him to repeatedly deliberately foul (headbutts, clamping Kessler's arm, hitting off the break) and never once warned him for excessive clinching.

Ward had home advantage against Allan Green, and again he fouled a lot, especially hitting while holding. And once again the ref said nothing.

Ward had home advantage against Arthur Abraham, and when Abraham started to come on a bit in the later rounds, Ward got him with some obviously intentional head butts which the ref ignored.

Ward was able to skip a round and advanced.

In the final, he once again had home advantage over the UK boxer Carl Froch. A referee Steve Smoger known for nationalistic bias worked that fight. Froch had to fight in three foreign countries during the Super Six: Finland, Denmark and the USA.

Dan Goossen has done a lot for Andre Ward. How can someone who calls himself the "Son of God" be so selfish and ungrateful?

It not easy to get Ward a fight because he's a prima donna who demands everything his own way:

    1) he demands home advantage
    2) he demands over $2,000,000
    3) he demands there be no random PED testing
    4) he demands his fights be at 168, no catch weights or moving down to 160 or up to 175.

No, it was in Ward's home country of the USA.

Froch's home country is the UK. And Smoger is an American referee.

"Neutral" would mean it would have been in some country like Japan or Russia.

Didnt have to fight Dirrell and got points for that, whilst Froch had to fight a sub.

Tell me is your point 3 correct?

Kessler was warned for head use against Ward

If the Kovalev/Hopkins fight was in Russia, but the furthest part of Russia to where Kovalev comes from. Do you think people would call that neutral or home advantage to Kovalev, even though it would likely be further than anything Ward would have travelled for the S6 final

The crooked referee Jack Reiss kept warning Kessler for nothing, while Ward was fouling him!

    Kessler was confused by it.

That was the very WORST refereeing I've ever seen. :-(

In fairness, Froch probably has more fans in New York than Ward does outside of California.

As for fighting in Oakland from the start thru the semi's, a job well done by Goosen but I think Showtime had a whole lot to do with that (as the Americans bailed out of the Super Six pretty quickly).

Over the years, it is certain that the majority of boxing fans agree with these two points and most fans would celebrate them... if most fans were consistent.

Ward never "skipped" a round. What a stretch statement that is, haha... He went 2-0 in his first two and clinched a spot in the semi finals. He took an out-of-tourney fight against Bika and won... In the official semi finals, he fought and beat Arthur Abraham. In the finals, he beat Froch. He did not skip any rounds.

As for the point I left quoted about Allan Green... It was an inside battle start to finish that Ward dominated. Their hands were free almost the entire time. You are allowed to hit if your hands are free or, especially, if the ref seems to think whatever is going on is just fine. If you think that there was a lot of fouling in that particular fight, then why are you a boxing fan as you must view all fights as being foul filled. Ward isn't always in clean fights, but you can't say that the Green or Dawson fights were particularly dirty worthy of notable criticism without sounding like a whining "hater."

Yes he's right. Ward recently turned down drug testing for the Rodriguez fight and Eddie Hearn mentioned the other day when he was talking about Brook-Porter drug testing that he's tried to get it before for Froch v Ward and Andrarde v Rose but it fell through.

I thought Ward live in America? America is a capitalist based economy. The whole idea of capitalism is to make as much money as you can. If Ward doesn't think that's happening with Goosen, why shouldn't he try to leave him?
