try to remember that one person's view on the internet, whether it's you, me or someone who publishes articles is only expressing an opinion

i'm more than skeptical about how rife drugs are in boxing, but don't assume that just because one article gives you ammo, it's something I have to read before commenting "on behalf of a boxer"

Still crying about this stuff years later. Face it Ward is the best 168 pound fighter in the world. He wasn't even picked as a favorite in the Super 6 the favorites were Abraham and Kessler. Kessler and Abraham wanted to fight in America because they and Showtime wanted them to be introduced to the American market and wanted them to become stars here. This whole tourney was really about making Abraham and Kessler into draws in America but too bad for them Ward and Froch had other plans.hi:

 

opinions don't begin and end with a piece you have read that you recommend to others
drug testing will never change in the sport until the magic fairy (or billionaire) buys out all the federations and establishes one that has no vested interest in the outcome of fights
what has happened in cycling is a great example of how rife drugs can be in a sport where there is one federation that just can't keep up, so any red flag in this sport should be looked on with great suspicion

Hi Bailey. I think you've been butthurt over Ward winning the super six for too long and need to take break. You said that no fighter won in his opponents backyard during the super six. Well, Andre Dirrell beat Carl Froch in my card and many peoples card. Look, I don't wan't to hear that crap about "oh Dirrell didn't come to fight like a man". The goal of the sport is to hit and not get hit, and Froch did not land no more than 5 clean punches in Dirrell. I also had Carl Froch beating Kessler in Denmark in a very close fight.

Sometimes you make excuses that don't make any sense. Guys like Mathessey, Modonna, Cotto, Canelo, and Pac have won plenty of fights out of their home countries. When Floyd defeated Juan Manuel Marquez, I did not hear Mexicans making excuses how the fight would have been different had the fight been held in Mexico City. Andre Ward did not win the super six because of home field advantage. He won because he was better than his opponents.

Look, I know it displeases you that Ward has taken over your hero as the greatest super middleweight of all time, but you have to learn to deal.

 

First of all kessler was extremely over confident thats why he chose to fight ward in oakland. Nobody especially the europeans thought much of americans especially the socalled no chin no power having andre ward. Kessler and abraham thought they were going to jog to the finals.Over all ward would have beat him anywhere with or without the headbutts. Second allen green was a late replacement if tayler wouldve stayed in the tourney ward wouldve fought him in arkansas and thats facts. Third ward did not foul green or abraham once. Matter of fact the ref for the abraham fight was too hands on & didnt let ward do any inside fighting go and watch the fight again. Forth froch fought on the eastcoast in connecticut & i think AC in 2 thrilling fights so he was more familiar with that crowd than ward was.
