It was fairly obvious at times. Haye put himself in that position and with Wladimirs weight he just pushed Haye down.
i guess in reality judges often give a close round with a kd a 10-8 score to the guy getting the kd, so i guess you have a point, but i don't think it's supposed to work that way. the kd should just be a point deduction (thus close rounds should be judged on who won overall then deducting a point- a 10-8 shouldn't be a foregone conclusion). especially on that 'kd' (which obviously wasn't a kd), i'm sure if haye would've done the better overall work, the judges would've given the round a 9-9
The way the world 'ought' to be, and the way it 'is'...I don't think it made a difference in this one though, just a bad call by the ref...
They were flops, an somthing i think booth wrote into the fighting plan, in the first he went straight in, an flopped to his knees, an repeated it, looking at the ref, they warned the ref the day before of wlad tactics an they made a point to make it happen by flopping
I think the first couple of times it was legit. But, later Haye seemed to have been anticipating it and reacting accordingly to get the ref involved. Good tactic, but overdone. And the points taken from both were justified, IMO, to try and restore some order.
Looks like Haye trained with Dirrell, fall down on canvas, complain to referee, run, he did not hold very much to his credit though. Vitali/Haye fight will most likely happen in future, Vitali will knock Haye out, no doubt, 100%!!!!!!!
Wlad was pushing down a bit, but that's generally what you do when a guy is ramming into you like that with their head so low. Push down and wear them out. The point deduction was a bit strong but I didn't think it was egregious. Haye was clearly flopping though and I'm glad Rodriguez gave him a KD to stop him.
If you want to see proper push downs watch Lewis - Holyfield. Holyfield never complained. Haye was smart exposing Wlad's leaning. He got a point for that, fair enough. In the 2nd half Haye's flopping just became ridiculous and reckless. Wlad jabbed him and Haye went to the ground like a little girl. Quite disgraceful. I think Haye was hoping he could get a DQ win with his act which would have been a disgusting ending to the fight. It's a good thing the ref didn't fall for it and gave Haye a count for taking a knee in the 10th or 11th.
