I don't see why this has been such an issue. Both bent the rules to their perceived advantage. Wlad clearly leans down on his opponents to wear them down it's a genuine tactic Steward has taught him and previously Lennox Lewis to great effect. Wlad also does it to deal with an opponent ducking in as he has no uppercut to counter such a tactic to get inside.

Haye clearly did not want to have his stamina sapped by having to constantly bear Wlad's weight and so allowed himself to be pushed down. It was an appropriate counter to Wlad's tactic.

It was a non issue, so Wlad got a point deducted it didn't stop Wlad from doing again repeatedly as the more Haye did it the more obvious it was he was incapable of doing anything else but go down easily and the ref started to warn him for over use of this tactic.

On purpose, quite obviously, a strategy thought up by his camp in order to avoid having to exhaust energies by wlad s weight pushing down on him in case he managed to clinch, which he never really did because haye flopped.

12th round when Wlad was hurt and holding on obviously puts both elbows on Haye's back to shove him to the canvas, haye was flopping?

It was a mix of both. Haye really shouldn't have milked it the way he did. It just got embarrassing in the end.

But I also think the shove and lean is a dirty, bull**** strategy. It was bull**** when Lewis and Ali did it, and it's bull**** when Wlad does is excessively.

    All of the above.

At first Haye was being clever, then it became a farce.

Some were pushes, but the one that got a point deduction was a little Hollywood on Haye's part. Kinda sad that he resorted to that BS.

You could easily see Wlads legs bend on a couple of occaisions when Haye did the flop, so you could say Wlad was leaning on Haye, I just didn't know that was a foul. I kinda like the ploy, I always wondered why fighters bothered to hold the guy up when he was leaning on them. Haye took dives also. I think the ref handled it well.

Grab a guy behind the head and you can take him down almost every time...Seemed deliberate to me and yes Haye did play it up...Haye after the point deduction and Wlad after the 'kd', Manny became the ref...

Imagine Haye got credited a DQ win with his fake flopping. That what he was trying IMO in the later rounds when it became obvious he can't possibly win this on points.
