    This thread is your chance to give a shout out for Little Red. He's a 2009 International Boxing Hall of Fame induction candidate, and he deserves to be there!!

    The man was simply never in a boring fight. He's the only fighter I have ever seen who routinely lost round after round by dominate ass whippin' and suddenly landed what looked like a nothing punch, and his opponent would go down like ya shot him in the head. When Danny retired the now defunct Boxing Today magazine did a big article on Danny's career. The title of the article was "Danny 'Little Red' Lopez: knock him down, he'll get up and kill you!" That was the quintissential description of Danny's style.

    There was a time when the boxing world said Lopez was shot, finished, it's over, stick a fork in him. He's done! Danny had other ideas. Instead of fading away into obscurity he came roaring back with a string of impressive wins, won the WBC featherweight title, and ruled the division for nearly 4 years. It took no less a fighter than one Salvador Sanchez to knock Danny off the top of the mountain.

    If we can make a little noise on the internet, maybe we can help Little Red get in to the IBHOF. He wants it, and he deserves it!

    I'd like to see 'Little Red' in the IBHOF given he's an exciting, crowd-pleasing fighter with explosive power, a solid title reign behind him, a couple of good wins and having given guys like Chacon & Sanchez a tough nights work. Though if I'm honest, he's behing Cocoa Kid & Lloyd Marshall in the pecking order for entry. But ideally I'd love to see all 3 in there.

    when i saw the thread title, i knew this was your thread boo.

    **** it, even if you post the sanchez fights it'll just show that lopez was tough, exciting, hit like a mother and always gave 100%, even against legends

    Great point...AND Little Red is sort of a "hot Favorite" for this summer's inductions according to an article I read the other day anyways. There was a thread on here about it, but it was so long it just slid down the front page cause I don't think anybody cared to read it cause it was so long.

    Though a hair before my time of becoming a fan...(I'm 33) I like to read up and watch what I can find cause the guy is the very definition of excitement. AND I can't recall reading a negative thing about him from anything I can find.:good

    One my all time favs ,never in a bad fight.

    Theres guys that in terms of resume deserve to be inducted ahead of him ,but in terms of excitment and heart nobody deserves it more than little red.
