Afyer Byrd was took down from bigh fights they should overturn this disgrace of a result and give GGG his deserved win, it cannot be that one incompetent person destroys a fighters perfect record. In my eyes GGG always will be the winner and an ATG middlweight.

This is not how you score a fight though...

Why? Punches landed, this guy is reliable imo, I watched this fight again and 2nd time it was even more clear Golovkin won, Canelo landed way less punches, was on the back foot, scared, Golovkin was the aggressor landed 2x as many punches, kept pushing.

Effective agression, defence, clean punches landed, and ring generalship.. You would have to make a case for all of those in a round not just punches.. Though punches is a big part, you can't ignore the other 3...

Oh, I never knew there was 4 criteria to scoring boxing matches. I thought it was only blows landed all these years. Thanks for the new revisionist update.

I guess Bob Bennett, the president of NSAC also saw Ward low blowing Kovalev yet he said all of Ward's punches were legal and even blamed Kovalev for headlocks. The same NSAC that had no issue with USADA and Mayweather blatantly breaking the rules with the IV use and the fake TUE. You cannot expect anything from them, they are corrupt to the core.

M.3 is correct, although most people have punches landed as the biggest one by far. Not sure the others really help Canelo either, Canelo was on the move / running a lot of the time.

Exactly, GGG commanded the ring, avoided as many punches as Canelo even though that he was the aggressor, Canelo landed the cleaner punches which is the only thing he was superior in, but he landed about 10 of them. that one right hand in the 9th round would have killed any other boxer and didn't even faze GGG.

He's not correct. The other 3 only come into consideration if the fight is too close to call, that's when other things are used to separate the winner from the loser.
Boxing is simply, hit and don't be hit and outpoint your opponent, obviously harder shots count for more than 1 jab but that's why we have judges.

I'd give defence to Canelo.. The effective agression is what the issue with scoring is.. GGG was aggressive almost the whole fight, but it wasn't always effective.. He was getting slipped and countered a lot.. I had Canelo winning, but thought GGG was going to win because of his aggression.. I'm a bit bias because I like how Canelo used his head movement to avoid so many shots while GGG covered up for the most part.. It was close...

The problem is Canelo's punches didn't do damage, they only look super cool. GGG's punches, jabs pushed Canelo back, forced him to fight on the back foot. That says a lot, for supposed great defense to have to be riding the Tour de Vegas like that. How great is it again?

These Canelo fans like style over substance. They probably give him that round he twatted GGG on the back of the head because it looked cute.

So the "not get hit" part don't matter as long as you're hitting? Canelo is a counterpuncher.. He's going to throw less than a guy who pressures you three whole fight...
