The best is when he's acting all cocky against Barrera while losing, it was simply embarrasing on his part. Hamed is a disgrace to boxing and I'm glad he's gone, he's also one ugly little mofo.
The power he generated was disturbing. He was small, even for a featherweight, yet he was knocking guys out cold with single punches that weren't even landing flush. Look at his early fights on youtube when he's fighting around 115 territory and only 18 years old yet he's still knocking guys down and out with single punches. He may not be popular, but there's no denying he had freakish power.
Was looking around on YouTube the other day and found Hamed's debut, couldn't believe how ****ing skinny he was back then.
May as well call this the Prince Naseem discussion thread... But yeah, his showboating antics are hard to top. Someone less lazy than me should search for clips from Roy Jones Jr, Hector Camacho, Sugar Ray Leonard, Ali and Whitaker, they all showed off some flashy showboating many times. Hamed most likely still tops them all in this department, though -- the part where he was actually dancing while dodging/punching was just crazy.
I don't mind a bit of showboating but I really don't go for the humiliation ****. I felt sorry for Steve Robinson at times during their fight. Actually I was praying for Robinson to catch him a good 'un but knew it wasn't going to happen. He had a lot of natural skill and power but his head got far too big and it bit him on the arse in the end.
