Claiming the winner will be the "one and only undisputed champion" at the weight.

Way to hype the match at the expense of the legitimacy of the WBO. Of course when they're hyping the winner vs. Montiel, THAT will be for the "Undisputed championship", hm?

    Poor WBO.

Should be a good fight anyway.

It seems the only belts that matter these days is the WBC and IBF along with the ring titles, WBO is starting to become second fiiddle to the competition in a big way

Right, but do you get my point of how it's just opportunistic to say that now; when RIGHT after this fight they'll start hyping the winner vs. Montiel and calling that a "unification battle to be the undisputed champion", conveniently forgetting that they marketed this as the same thing?

Montiel made his statement against Castillo but Mijares has done a lot more.

Winner of Mijares/Vic clearly is undisputed, dont know whats up with Montiel is he still savoring the Castillo fight or what

it depends on the title holder

if a champion wants to unify and fight alll the top dogs you have to give him much more credit than the champion who is just fighting to retain his belt.

in a way its the fighter who brings down the sanctioning body

And Montiel has done that how? Not being active enough to your standards? On pace to have fought three times in 2008 against decent (although sure, not great) comp?

I wasnt referring to Montiel persay, but now that you have :D

he had to fight castillo because he was the mandatory,Ill give him credit for being active against mediocre competition, but the bar is being set high by Mijares and Montiel doesnt want to go no where near it. He could of done alot more this year after starting so hot.
