just as we all wanted Showtime to threaten legal action against Ward and Dirrell, the same applies to Showtime. Apparently, their lawyers wrote some tight ass contracts. And the fighters were guaranteed 3 purses prior to the semi's. So if they are going to continue on, the promoters want to be compensated as much as possible. The good news is that the mystery man will go in with zero points, he's not getting Kessler's 2.

They can still guarantee Green and DiBella two more purses that are non-tournament.

lets put things into perspective here, if you were allan green, would you let anyone deny you victory in a career making tourney such as this?

I like this. Green vs Bika. Both have zero points so they basically have to win by KO to qualify.

    interesting.

    both do have power.

could actually be an excting fight because like you say, they will need a knockout.

not only that but if all of dirrell, ward, AA, froch go through, tere is more opportunity for rematches, and other big matches.

gosh i am actually in favour of this announcement :patsch

If I were Allan Green I'd probably have either some tofu or a **** in my mouth, so it's hard for me to relate to his perspective.

I seriously doubt if a Green/Bika fight will happen. We're talking about two of the biggest dickheads in boxing trying to negotiate a fight.

Isn't Andrade lined up to fight Stieglitz?

Nevertheless, he would be a good addition to the tourney, like a mexican Carl Froch.

I agree Ward-Dirrell and Froch-Abraham should just be the seminfinals. it seems an easy decision

however, Green-Bika (if it somehow gets made) would be really interesting to me

It seems ridiculous to keep Green in it, but for legal reasons they might have to. If they give him a weak opponent that he can KO and go through at one of the other 4's expense I will be furious.
