exactly they looked at his past fights and seen he could get 1.5 mill buys so they made that the break even point. Its not rocket science

You really are an idiot of the highest order. Or just a poor troll. You decide which. You're so devoid of logical thought it is disgusting.

Not at all, especially for the money he's getting paid. I was more talking about seeing the contract's $-signs. Of course no one knows the full details of the contract, but seeing a lot of articles talking about busts and so forth tells you there are people on the inside knowing this kind of stuff.

Here is an article saying Floyd needs 1.5 million buys just to BREAK EVEN. To me, I doubt Showtime is paying Floyd this huge sum of money to break even every fight. My guess is they were speculating Floyd to do consistently high numbers. So far, if the numbers are true, he's had 2 flops.

You don't understand network TV and how it works.

Showtime does not need to make money on Mayweather fights.

They make their money on the front and back ends in Network subscriptions and product advertising.
That they have exclusive rights to all of Mayweather fights is reason for subscribers to pay for Showtime over HBO. Same for advertisers who target customers who Mayweather appeals to.

If you think that Showtime will loss money with Mayweather, that is only because you don't know **** about network TV business.

It seems more like that figure went up. The last speculation was that he needed to make like 1.1 million or more to break even for the Guerrero fight. This one went up to 1.5 million to break even. I think they were trying to recover from the loss they had with the Guerrero fight which is why the number went up.

If this 800k buys is true, Showtime is probably hurting.

I didn't get exposed at all. All you did was say how a quote from Showtime didn't mean as much as your Fantasy World views. When did I say Showtime does not need to make money? Now you're making stuff up, as usual.

Just admit it: your 1.5 million number is based on pure fantasy. You have no clue. Espinoza said 1.1-1.3 million to break even is untrue, so you go even higher? Hilarious!

You're going "higher than the break even rumors" dude. Do you have any idea how much of a jackass you are? Probably not....

exactly the Gurerrero did very bad hence the reason they made Mayweather fight Canelo which to me shows Showtime does have some kind of influence they did put the figure up because of the loss in the Guurerero fight no doubt.

They don't have any say over his opponent per contract. Why do you continue to spout bull**** that has been publicly denied by Showtime?

Sciguru you're confused Floyd fights on ppv, no one needs to subscribe to showtime to see him. Fail.
