    i dont think vic has done anyting in the past 3 rds but land the occasional wind up.. mares totally dictating the pace fo the fight not to mention outstriking him by any sort of compustrike measurements

    Darchinyan is repeatedly warned for "pushing that eye" - presumably meaning thumbing the cut with his glove. Mares whacks away with right hands. Darchinyan is trying to hold, which is probably why the ref perceives him as trying to target the cut. Mares slugs away and Darchinyan pins his arm down. Mares is coming on strong, getting off lots of punches off before each clinch. Darchinyan looks exhausted. Vic lands a big left hand atop Mares' head. Mares hits with his free hand while Darchinyan holds him. Another left on the head by Darch. Ugly, violent stuff down the stretch.

    Darchinyan seemed hurt/exhausted in the last round. I think if Mares hit him with a good shot he would have went down.
