That straight left is just locked on to Mares...that little right hook is landing for Vic, too.

If Mares can't figure that left out, it's over.

For ****'s sake. A point deduction when Darchinyan was holding Mares' ****ing head down? Shameful.

    Round 4

Mares is coming forward with an intense fixed gaze. He lands a huge right hand that has Darchinyan bouncing off the ropes and looking to escape. Mares is gunning away with the right. Darchinyan lands a left uppercut to the chest as Mares tries to corner him. Mares continues to pressure behind his left jab and bring the right hand slamming to the fore. Mares digs in with a triple uppercut to the breadbasket and has a point taken for one of them perceived to be low. Darchinyan misses a right hook, but looks to have been galvanized. Mares puts his head down and runs in with his left arm shielding him (and getting trapped) and his free right banging into Vic's body. The referee warns them both for rough stuff.

10-9 Mares; 9-9 with the deduction.

    Round 1 10-9 Vic
    Round 2 10-8 Vic
    Round 3 10-9 Vic
Round 4 10-8 Vic (Point Deduction)

    40-34 Vic

Mares lands, but Vic is scoring the more clean effective punches in each round...
