    Yep. If anything, warn them both at that stage. Mares for low, Darchinyan for holding the head down... but no deductions on it.

    Darchinyan counters a Mares right by landing a big right hook. Darchinyan drops his arms and shimmies in front of Mares. Vic shoots off a big left hand but it whizzes past the right ear of Mares. Vic lands a big 1-2. He lands another left but Mares counters with a right and puts Vic down!! Vic laughs as he gets up, thinking it was a slip. Big left hand from Vic. Mares keeps a jab in Vic's face. Darchinyan keeps landing with the lead left. Mares steps through (past a Darchinyan left) to land his 1-2. Darchinyan steps out of the way of a lunging right to the body. Darchinyan keeps pumping the lead left and Mares is swatting it away with his own punches.

    10-8 Mares

    It was a jab knockdown. He was off balance, with his lead right foot caught behind Mares' right...but a punch DID land and result in him on the canvas.
