    Mares slaps Darchinyan with an overhand right and continues to pressure. He goes low and lands one below the belt that Darchinyan complains about. Darchinyan windmills his left as Mares gets him into an open firefight. Darchinyan keeps whipping out the long left hand but looks rattled and is affected by Mares' punches. Mares eats a straight left while punching his way forward, and shakes it off quickly. They clinch hard as they wind up on big missed power punches.

    10-9 Mares
