As we all know Showtime turned the fight down. Instead they wanted Bute to fight Andre Dirrell :rofl. Ward isn't available and Dirrell is the only guy Showtime were willing to accept. Bute's promoters now say they're going ahead with the Froch fight with or without Showtime. And Froch/Bute is an infinitely better fight than Bute/Dirrell.
A winning fighter like Dirrell or Taylor (both of whom schooled Carl-boy on Showtime), not some old Limey fresh on a schooling loss.
:rofl Both of whom lost to Froch (yeah I know the Dirrell fight was a close one). Taylor's had one fight in about 2 years and that was against a nobody. Same with Dirrell plus he messed everyone about with the Dr Shaw-hi bull****.
Froch has booked the Nottingham Arena for 5/5 but Bootay's promoters want him to fight in Monteal on 14/4 :think
They have a point TBH , Froch was taken to school by Ward , in America on a showtime bill , why would the American audience tune into Bute Froch for more of the same ??? , flip side , if the first fight took place in the UK it would be more of the same , i.e. British fight fans know Froch's ass is about to get handed to him and the every day public dont like the guy :deal , again no audience , no doubt the gates in Canada and the UK would be pretty , but the gates arent everything Bute Dirrell (if that ****** Dirrell would actually take the fight) is just an all round better fight for the US audience , and for everyone , its just a better fight
It's Ward that is walking away from the Bute fight, yet it's Bute that has ''sanctions'' imposed by Showtime? It's clear that they aren't that interested in Europeans now that Herschman has gone to HBO. In turn the chiefs at HBO are still trying to push Dawson as much as possible rather than looking for him vs a suitable dance partner. Dawson vs Froch would be a good fight....

Broke is hand I think. Bute wants to fight in April and apparently his team said he wouldn't be ready for then.
Dirrell is boring as **** and Taylor is beyond shot, Bute doesn't have that many options at sm if Ward wont face him.
