Marquez catches Donaire with a couple of short punches when Donaire bangs his way in on him, but can't mount more than one or two at a time before Donaire weaves and pulls out, only to reset and come right back at him with the orthodox 1-2.

Marquez is mad as hell and not going to take it anymore! He starts walking around Donaire just beyond his outside left foot and landing fierce combinations. Donaire turns with him and jabs calmly, mixing in lead rights when Marquez changes direction. Jab, jab, right cross to the body from Donaire. Marquez leaps in and shovels both fists into the body of Donaire. Donaire presses him back with jabs and crosses. Marquez eats a few to get in and land one hook. Donaire bends at the waist and extends, hops in and out of range, and generally burns clock to end the round.

Donaire is overrated. Very inaccurate puncher. He struts and Juts more than he throws and when he does, he is so off balance. When this guy meets someone he has no reach advantage over, he will get beat easily.

 

Round 8

Marquez tries to land a straight combination on Donaire, beginning with the left and then snapping out a follow-up jab, but Donaire is slipping with ease since initiating the contrast in stances. Donaire leans to his left and digs a hook to the body of Marquez. Donaire jabs to the face of Marquez and continues trying to bring the right hand over to the body. Marquez is trying to block but Donaire's fists are passing right through his. Marquez darts in and out trying to land single shots, and finally squares up in front of Donaire swinging wildly with both hands. Donaire drops him with an unseen left hook thrown from the hip and it's OVER!
