    His performance here is an improvement on his showing in the first fight. That's better than nothing, if you're DeGale and you're looking for reasons to go on and positives to build on, although it'll be harder for him to take heart from it if it isn't validated with a decision in his favor. But I agree that his optimum performance years are now firmly behind him, on the evidence of this pair of Truax bouts.

    DeGale shades the 11th with slightly cleaner punching, though it's another round that's close enough to be called 10-10. Anyone's fight going into the 12th.

    I think DeGale is done at the top. He's too lazy on defense and his offense is sloppy.
