Showtime Boxing: Jarrett Hurd vs Erislandy Lara & Caleb Truax vs James DeGale RBR

This is a tough fight to score. Lara has landed a lot of sharp punches while Hurd throws in volume and hurting Lara every now and then.

Hurd should be taking advantage of Lara's body when they fight at that distances. Lara leaves his right side open constantly. If only Hurd had better punching technique.

I still think Lara is winning this fight overall, probably by about 2 rounds.

 

I wish Lara showed this much urgency vs Canelo. Impressed by his will here.

Lara is laying inside, throwing a sheet, blanket, and comforter over Hurd, but unable to really move him (or even hold a position for long) considering the size disparity. Lara fortifies his stance with hard, precise left hands. Lara scoots away from a resurgent Hurd pumping out straights & hooks by rowing out the right jab, steadying himself and keeping his "court vision" intact by leaning his upper body outside so he can gaze at Hurd straight-on without having to avert his eyes upward from a bowed position. NICE left hand by Lara.
