im optimistic over the immediate future of boxing, as far as entertainment for the masses is concerned. there are some quality man crushers in the middle divisions... they make the fights exciting.

 

don't take his **** I had the same score

 

Should be an easy enough fight to make two warriors who duck no one both with Uncle Al lets get it.

However, big respect for Lara, it almost seemed unfair due to enormous size advantage for Hurd. Lara was the best light middleweight of his time.

 

Hurd definitetly has a Shannon Briggs vibe you've guys got to admit. His youth and absurd size at the weight are a huge part of his success. Has he looked GREAT in any of his last 3 fights? No. Harrison and Trout schooled him at times as did Lara. Size, youth and awkwardness and pressure have played a role in his success. He's come along at the right time with certain physical attributes and to a lesser extent skill to fully capitalize on things.

 

You knew they were waiting to do that to Lara to get him out of the picture. Looking at clean, effective punching, the actual scoring punches, Lara probably won at least nine rounds. Hurd was working, and coming forward, but most of his work was hitting glove, and arm. Judges at ringside look through the ropes and see one guy coming forward and being more active though.

Hurd is a problem down the stretch. He keeps coming when guys are gassing. He almost made Lara do the exorcist when that left hook landed. Thought Lara's head was gonna turn all the way around.

 

Disgrace. Lara schooled this weight bully and got robbed in the process. There is no way in hell this was a fair boxing match. Either Lara is too small for this division or Hurd, i dont know how he is making the weight too big. Or both. Feeling sorry for Lara another robbery. Great boxer.
