HBO actually has something nice lined up every week for awhile. Matthysse Provodnikov was a bit of a let down, like Rios/Alvarado III, but it was still good matchmaking. This weekend they got Klitschko/Jennings, next is Mayweather/Pacquiao, the week after that is Alvarez/Kirkland, the week after that is Golovkin/Munroe and Gonzalez/Sosa. I'm not seeing the undercards or what's coming in the two weeks after GGG and Gonzalez, but then they have Cotto vs Geale which should be interesting. That's not a bad string of fights, considering they already gave us Kovalev vs Pascal, GGG vs Murray, and the Crawford fight this year. In comparison, Showtime gave us Russell Jr vs Gonzalez, Stiverne vs Wilder, and Khan vs Alexander. It is a little odd that they have nothing scheduled after Mayweather/Pacquiao next week, especially since they delivered the better boxing shows last year: Matthysse vs Molina and Guerrero vs Kamagai compared to HBOs Crawford vs Gamboa. Of course, in the same time period beIn Sports hosted Francisco Rodriguez vs Katsunari Takayama and Orlando Salido vs Terdsak Kokietgym, putting the twin giants to shame.
So if a CBS CEO is directly involved and had so much power over Mayweather, why is TMT, an immature promotion company running the show? Moonves has little power over Floyd. It's why the NFL, NBA all pay athletes 100 million of dollars when they have been busts in the pros. SHO ain't geting out of that ridiculous contract. And ultimately Moonves, the BOSS, was the idiot who approved the contract we all know wasn't worth it with the only real competition out there being Pacquiao. All Moonves did was a light a fire under Espinoza to try to get the fight made. You Pac clowns regurgitate any rumor one of you starts.
Showtime has had 3 main cards this year, Khan-Alexander was last year. They have nothing on their schedule at the moment. So the earliest they would put something there would be June/July(unless they pick up an overseas fight like Povetkin-Perez). That's going to be 3 cards in half a year if you don't include ShoBox and honestly that's been a letdown the last couple years. Showtime has done some really good things the last couple years(they had a great 2013) They've gone 3-4 fight deeps on a lot of shows. They've put even more fights on Showtime Extreme. They're also talking about doing a series of overseas fights like the Brook-Dan one they did. It just seems they got hit really hard with Haymon taking fighters elsewhere and haven't gotten up and running yet. Until they do I would guess a lot of boxing fans might drop them.
you idiot we all know moonves put the pressure on fraud duckweather jr and forced her to fight pacquiao.lol running the show its being co promoted with TOP RANK you clown.needle d!ck mark the most delusional fl0m0 ever.:deal
