    Round 8

Ciocan is starting to score his jab now as Ortiz takes his foot off the gas, sliding in hemispherical steps around him and then dropping anchor to pose or throw lefts on the body. Ortiz leans away downward, stretching out into a wide base, yogic warrior-2 pose, dropping his face away from Ciocan's 1-2s, exhibiting a little slickness for such a big fella, then countering with right jabs up top and some lefts shoveled into the muffin-top. Ciocan is missing jabs up past the head as Ortiz flinches and weaves. Left hand at the bell from Ortiz.

    10-9 Ortiz

    80-72 Ortiz

One word describes Ortiz's performance: labored.

He's been...busier...but aside from that shot in the 6th that momentarily took Hammer's legs...he's not really looked like putting Hammer away.

Not seeing lots of pop in Ortiz's left hand - like I said this could be a problem for King Kong at the tail end.
