Farhood gave Ciocan the eighth. :dunno His scorecard overall is 79-73 Ortiz.

Round 8 was still very clear for Ortiz, IMO, even though his edge in punches thrown & connects did narrow.

He did. You would not have bet on Ortiz reaching this level as a professional based on his amateur career where he was just a step below elite level.

ortiz aged like 5 years since the wilder fight, he would get knocked out faster if they fought again

Unless Ortiz is underperforming to lure someone into fighting him in the future, his age is catching up with him. He was better than this.

    Round 9

Ciocan is landing a couple of left jabs, but the number of rights jabs from Ortiz is greater by triplicate or more. Ortiz starting to edge himself sideways with subtle crabbing steps in between his usual canter around the carousel, setting up the occasional heavy left hand. Ciocan mostly picking them off, but a few get through, leading to Ciocan mocking Ortiz as the latter had done earlier, acknowledging the shot but emasculating the opponent all the same. The final minute is mostly a battle of jabs, Ortiz landing more. Ciocan with a few looping rights dinging high on the hairline, plus a few scratches on the body. Nothing solid.

    10-9 Ortiz

    90-81 Ortiz

Or hurt. I think (as others have pointed out) he's managed to injure that left hand.
