I was shocked when Castano beat Soro; nobody should dare taking Castano lightly after that. Tonight is a 50/50 fight, IMO.

    Round 1 Russell 10-8
    Round 2 Russell 10-9
    Round 3 Russell 10-9
    Round 4 Russell 10-9
    Round 5 Russell 10-9

Russell doing his thing. Settled into a rhythm. This fight has gotten pretty boring now.

I wasn't, I predicted that too.:D But I've been high on Castano since he turned pro, he impressed the hell out of me when he beat Derevyanchenko in the WSB. He also has a amateur win over Spence.

    Round 2 Russell 10-9
    Round 3 Russell 10-9
    Round 4 Russell 10-9
    Round 5 Russell 10-9
Round 6 Russell wins by TKO

Russell stuns Cardenas with a straight left, he backs to the ropes, Russell tees off, the doctor jumps up, the ref waves it off, way too early, but whatever, he wasn't going to win anyway.

If the Hurd fight didn't ruin Lara, I think he wins tonight. Castano is very short on world class experience, I think he is making too big of a leap in fighting Lara. Lara is not an easy fighter to deal with being a tricky Southpaw who knows how to play spoiler and make it ugly/dirty if need be.

We shall see, I'm looking forward to this fight. I've always felt like Lara was a P4P level talent and he is arguably undefeated.

This could be a real banana peel for La Bomba, while I think he'll win, Mitch Williams is no pushover, he's only lost to solid CW's like Durodola, Merhy and Goulamirian. And he went the distance with Merhy, who's fairly heavy handed.

    Ok
    Not getting snippy
    Just saying
    Lara is motivated
And if he wasn’t so cocky vs hurd and fights smart he wins easy, like he did vs canelo. I was just saying if castano stops lara the hurd better run.

    Round 1 Rodriguez 10-9, close

Edwin landed a lot more, but Mitch tagged him with a vicious straight left that almost won him the round, it prompted Edwin to hold.

    Round 2 Rodriguez 10-9

Edwin cracks him with a right that wobbled Williams early, he followed up, but Williams spoiled his way through it, he eats another right from Edwin, hard left to the body from Williams, Edwin counter with a hard left hook up top, they hold, vicious left hook followed by a chopping right from Rodriguez. Uppercut from Williams and a straight right from Edwin at the bell.

Edwin starting to pick his shots well, and defending better than before. Although Mitch got through with a few lefts.

There's a lot of inside fighting, Edwin getting the best of it, Edwin lands a vicious uppercut to the body that hurts Williams badly, they paused he thought it was a low blow, but the ref didn't think it was, Edwin went on the attack slowly, whacking him with bombs, Williams looks lost, just soaking them up. I'd make that a 10-8,

For some reason Edwin goes southpaw, not having much success in that stance, Edwin seems to be taking the round off, back to orthodox, he lands two huge rights, uppercut from Williams, he has Edwin in the corner crowding him, but not letting his hands go, Edwin spins out, lands a huge one two, hurts Williams again, La Bomba is letting his bombs fly.
