Great, the unwordly overrated Shawn Porter. That guy is a KO waiting to happen. A poor man's version of Andre Berto.
Better than the other fights on the card - Holt vs. a guy with a losing record, Kayode vs. shot to hell and always boring Epi Mendoza, and Anthony Dirrell against a guy who's been knocked out his last four fights. Still, I was a big Porter supporter early on, but I'm having my doubts too at this point. He was very undersized at middleweight, but his top notch speed and power made him special there as an amateur. Shrinking down to 147, his speed is no longer as good compared to the rest of welterweights, and it seems like he's lost a lot of his power moving down in weight. Maybe it's just a matter of adjustment, but it's starting to look like he won't be a top level fighter. The guy he's fighting likes to stand in front of guys and trade, so hopefully this is a good opportunity for him to be impressive.
The guy has the raw tools but he has very little boxing skills. He is a KO waiting to happen. I thought he lost his last fight or was a draw. And he was being countered by someone with very little hand speed. The guy thinks only offense and forgets about his defense. Maybe he'll correct it. But it looks like he has a lot of work to do.
