Kownacki may be not be a world-beater but his résumé doesn't suffer much in comparison to Gerald Washington's or Eric Molina's when those fighters were voluntaries for a certain Alabama heavyweight.

I absolutely believe that a voluntary shot (assuming Wilder will still be holding the title after facing Tyson Fury) was at stake tonight. Otherwise, why would Kownacki take the fight? Beating a disgraced fighter like Martin wouldn't do much for his career without some sort of backroom deal.

Charr looked awful against Ustinov, btw, until the latter simply gassed.

he reminds me of a guy who wants notoriety because of stupidity rather than being a good boxer. He is the opposite of a Mike McCallum. Mike was not loud or didn't make noise and brag, but he proved it in the ring. If Mike would have had Hector Camacho's personality, he might have been as big as Ali.
