Showtime: Devin Miles Haney vs. Mason Joseph Menard & Glenn Dezurn Jr. vs. Joshua Greer Jr. RBR.

I guess it's a pretty obvious ceiling to aim for as a young and aspiring African American athlete.... but I don't think it's particularly intelligent or healthy for that matter. Just asking for trouble.

 

Your opinions on the original and remake of the Invasion of the Body Snatchers movies? I love both and might actually prefer the remake...

You'd think everybody would've learned from the very public and very cringy Rise & Fall (...and Rise & Fall again...) of Adrien Broner that carving your own path is a wiser strategy than aping someone whose specific qualities that were additive (not merely sum) contributors to his greatness aren't likely - neither his freakish athleticism, nor pedigreed upbringing - to be reproduced in any of his sincerely flattering imitators.

Should I even bother attempting to sneak outta bed (without disturbing the gf, who's already mad that I spent the whole night ignoring her for Harrison vs. Smith ) to watch this?

I can't remember anything specific about Haney except that he's kind of boring...and Menard, while not boring, is..kind of basic, no? I can't even picture what either guys looks like, these are just the very rough, vague impressions they've left on me.

 

I think at this stage Haney is more polished then Ryan Garcia just based on Haney using his jab and boxing in circles.
Both guys neglect the body though. Garcia moves straight back to much. Neither guy has any inside game though. I thing Haney is better at punching on the inside when holding. Garcia pulls the holding just to hold like a young kahn.

 

Haney looks like a black Tom Everett Scott and Mason looks like he represents middle America.
