Jackson is cranking in jabs and rights on the loosely covered head of Nelson. Down to a knee goes Nelson! He is given a long count - technically nine but with a few extra seconds before rising as the ref speaks to him, asking if he plans to get up. He finally does, looking glassy-eyed but moving away to defend. Jackson is throwing his 1-2, eating a couple of right hands from Nelson. Jackson is lining Nelson up on the outside with straight two-pieces. Nelson dashes in with a left hook up top, blocked. Nelson dives in with a 1-2. Jackson loops a right into his neck to back him off. Big right by Jackson, ducked. Nelson is catching jabs on his right mitt. BIG 1-2 by Nelson at the bell.

I don't really have anything against Heineken (I toured their brewery & Amstel's during my stay in Amsterdam, and still have some of my swag, and some fond if fuzzy memories) but canned beer.. :-(

There were actually cheaper options but I wasn't stooping to Bud. Or worse, Pabst. :barf

 

Round 2

Jackson is doubling up on left hooks now, working at long range, shuffling outside when he needs to. Nelson is looking to crowd in, leading with his 1-2, letting Jackson sit back and line up straight counters. Jackson pushes a jab between Nelson's gloves to lay him against the ropes. Jackson switches to southpaw, puts up a right jab into the tented arms of Nelson and swings a left uppercut into his stomach.

I was spending lots of time in bars (late teens...ah, the fake ID salad days...) when PBR hit its stride as the drink of choice of trucker hat wearing hipsters, and so it became what every place would push as their $3 pitcher or whatever, and so any time I went out in a group it was the only choice. I've hated it ever since.

 

True. Rat turd residue on every rim - I'm well aware of the perils of canning. (or, more specifically, mass storage of aluminum cans - of everything from beer to soup to soda)

...but I swear it retains some of that metallic taste no matter what. :twisted:

 

Round 3

Jackson is firing the right hand on the outside. Four uppercuts by Jackson leaning in, left-right-left-right, banging Nelson's guard apart. Jackson steps back and keeps pumping straights. Nelson is keeping the guard up high, fixed in place, sniping a bit to Jackson's body.
