Russell probably hurt him to the body or with a shot that got through the guard, or around the ear. Only reason I could think of, for him to just back off from murdering that body. He would have gotten Russell out of there by round 10 had he kept murdering that little body. Props to Russell, he is one tough dude.

Valdez gets underrated. Being average in every other area but excelling in the heart, engine, and recovery (if not chin) departments will take you incredibly far in this sport.

Pure boxer? Russell Jr. Often stands in with his opponents, instead of staying away potshotting, or counterpunching. He isn't what I would label a pure boxer.

Your cards are usually scarily close to mine, I didn’t even follow your RBR for this or Parker-Joshua and I had the exact same cards lol

Not to brag but I picked Warrington, GRJ & a Jack SD LOL

GRJ is a tool but it’s clear that the guy can fight.

Evidently you're one of the only other people on the site that actually has the abilityto process what's going on in matches correctly.

Major props need to go to GRJ tonight, he solidified his standing as the ATG of all ATG's amongst hand punchers.

He had to land at least 1,086 shots on Jo Jo's hands tonight, that was absolutely dazzling work.

Its a pity no one told the cromagnon judges scoring tonight's match that blows to the hands are meaningless and not scoring shots.

Compubox kind of backs up my scoring.:deal:

Look at that accuracy GRJ threw 1000 punches, landed 200.

Jo Jo threw 500, landed 200.

His accuracy was double that of T-Rex arms, yet he threw half the shots.:ggg

    Round 1 Russell
    Round 2 Diaz
    Round 3 Russell
    Round 4 Diaz
    Round 5 Diaz
    Round 6 Russell
    Round 7 Russell
    Round 8 Russell
    Round 9 Russell
    Round 10 Russell
    Round 11 Russell
    Round 12 Diaz

    116-112 Russell

Workmanlike performance by Russell. I was slightly disappointed in Diaz, he let Russell be too active during the middle rounds and there wasn't much urgency from Diaz until the final round.

Good fight still, both guys deserve credit for showing heart and skill, especially Russell for being one of the few fighters not to have said ''No Mas'' against Lomachenko. :chuck:

115-113 GRJ. I can see why some have it wider for Russell too but no way did Diaz win more than 5. Disciplined fight from t Rex arms, abandoned most of his flash & stuck to the fundamentals this time. Diaz has quality body work he'll come again. Excellent fighter but he clearly lost here. He abandoned his jab & focused too much on the body. Mature performance from GRJ. Good fight too! Round 10 was a tear up.
