I just saw a commercial on Showtime that said they will be showing old episodes of Shobox, Showtime Championship boxing, or some eliteXC crap every weeknight at 10pm! I dunno how long this has been going on or if it just started, but I just found out. So if you missed out on a fight, you'll be able to catch the re-airing of it. It will be on the channel Sho2. Schedule for the week coming up....all times at 10pm 12/24 - Lacy vs Calzaghe 12/25 - Judah vs Baldomir / Mormeck vs Bell 12/26 - Brewster vs Liakhovich 12/27 - Liakhovich vs Briggs 12/28 - Margarito vs Clottey / Cotto vs Quintana You can go to the showtime website to see the January's schedule. HBO needs to start doing this.
HBO is doing one better: 12/25: Taylor-Pavlik 12/26: Calzaghe-Kessler 12/27: De La Hoya-Mayweather 12/28: Cotto-Mosley 12/29: Mayweather-Hatton
yea, I agree those are better fights.... but from what I get, Showtime is going to be doing this every week. That means boxing every week night for the whole year. HBO is just showing the best 5 fights of the year for one week.
Peter-McCline will be shown sometime in January, dont remember the exact date. They'll eventually show the marquez/vasquez fights. This is not just a one week thing like HBO, its year round. Look at their website for the schedule.
Yeah, Showtime started airing full broadcasts of cards from 2006 in January of this year. They normally aired them around the last Wednesday of every month on regular Showtime. Now they're airing Boxing or MMA on Showtime Too every night of the week. I wish HBO would do this too. I prefer to have full broadcasts of fights rather than just the fight itself. It makes it that much more interesting looking back hearing the build up and expectations.
yeah, HBO has the much better fights. It would be great if HBO aired full broadcasts of old fights every now and then, not just when a big fight is coming up. I don't see why they can't air them around midnight. If Showtime can do this, I know HBO can.
