People conveniently forget that Bute rematched Andrade and destroyed him. Moreover, it isn't as if Bute wasn't beating Andrade's ass in the first fight and on his way to an easy points decision when the calamity occurred.

 

Ha, ha! If he would fight Stieglitz you would have said he fights a man weaker than Andrade and Berrio.Some peple said Stieglitz it`s higher ranked than Jonhson.So for Bute a real fight is only with Ward, Froch, Kessler.When the match with Kessler was discussed somebody said:Kessler, the weak leak of Super 6.

When a Pavlik fight was almost signed some people said: Oh, a boxer frpom rehab, what means a victory against him?

Some people mentioned Direll.But a fight with Direll now is high risk/low reward now.

It`s obvious that for some people only a fight with the winner of Ward/Froch will not make them critics.Oh, I forgot, in this case, Bute doesn`t deserve a shot.

SO, ON THE ONE HAND BUTE DOESN`T FIGHT THE RIGHT PEOPLE WHO ULTIMATELY ARE ONE OR TWO, MAXIMUM THREE AND ON THE OTHER HE DOESN`T DESERVE TO MEET IN THE RING THOSE FIGHTERS.

Showtime made 6 boxers (initially) exclusive fighters for at least 3 fights; and that happened prior to the moment Showtime made Bute "their first exclusive fighter since Tyson" also for 3 fights;
SweetHome_Bama, you're talking about Dirrell as a good deal for Showtime; in case you've forgotten he was included in the super6, and had at least a 3 fight deal contract; and he failed badly, embarrassing himself and the sport.

People can have any opinions they want, but those fans saying that Showtime made a mistake, this decision was taken by professional people that it is there job to do this kind of decision and to make money doing so. They make mistake like everybody, but I will give them the shot and see if they were right or wrong. If they were wrong more often than not, they would loose their job. Last time I checked, the guy got a promotion... must means something.

there's alot of skeptics and doubters because of the level of talented fighters he's fought. In this way, he does face the same level of skepticism as Joe Calzaghe. Regardless of the caliber they face, it doesnt represent their skills or abilities they have, or takes it away. It simply shows the confidence they have in those skills and abilities.

Fighting Glenn Johnson is a valid step up compared to what he has fought. Johnson himself easily beated down what was considered as a blue chipper. He went 12 rounds with Carl Froch and lost to a not lopsided Unanimous decision. He did hang in there very competitively with Froch. You can easily say that he performed much better against Froch than Abraham did.

SO..... where is this going? IF he does beat the Road Warrior by KO or Decision, does that finally validates him to the skeptic, doubters, or haters?

As one hater stated in the thread he created, EVEN if Bute KO's Johnson, he wouldnt consider him legit unless he fought Froch.... But but but... Froch didnt stop Johnson... Well, reason goes out the window when you're a straight up, *****-ass hater and stuck thinking with your dick...
