That's interesting that all 3 judges gave the 9th to Castaño because in fairness I thought that was a pretty clear Castaño round, and for Farhood to give that round to Charlo I think was very odd. But Charlo after doing nothing for most of the round did finish strong so the only argument is that he STOLE the round late not that he actually won it, so good on the judges there. And good point about the 6th round, working off the jab and staying off the ropes, a big key to it being a draw was a judge giving him the 6th, recognizing the jab which makes sense.

Yes he did, Castaño became cautious, even his trainer said before the 12th to try to stay on his feet, rather than go balls to the wall. Though the 11th was pretty close from what I remember.

He was ahead but not "comfortably" ahead, not after that 10th round. He barely survived that round.

No he was comfortably ahead. You're acting as if the fight was very close on the cards after round 12. Even when he lost those rounds it was 8-4, 7-5 at worst if you're a bised fanboy

Did you ignore the jab discrepancy? Castaño had an extremely low amount of jabs landed compared to Charlo.

Those announcers were obvious, but not as obvious as the Fox Sports announcers during the Harrison loss. All of them are pathetic. They took a page from the MSM play book.

Great fight, but I'm struggling to see how this could be viewed as a draw, let alone someone digging out a 117-111 card for Charlo, I mean seriously WTF????

I gave Charlo 2 and 10 clear (but neither were 10-8 IMO), but had Castano clearly winning 1,4,5,6,7,8 and 9. 3,11 and 12 I had as close swing rounds, but I scored to Castano based on work rate and more connects. I'd have to score those swing rounds to Charlo AND score round 10 and 10-8 to come up with 114-114.

Charlo lost this fight, as expected Castano was up in his grill the whole fight except for rounds 2 and 10 where Charlo did hurt Brian, but coupled with Castano being a tough cookie, very well conditioned, and Charlo either not able or not willing to up his wrokrate, he could not capitalize on those successes.

Whoever put in that 117-111 card should never score again!

The Charlo's need to honest, both those guys were pretending that Mell won. These guys are on par with Canelo with promotional corruption. This was one of the worst robberies i have ever seen. Maybe worse than Pacquiao vs Bradley 1.

Bold emphasis mine, that would be easier to do if we would not get such obviously corrupt cards thrown out. That card is just beyond the pale.

I believe the word robbery gets overused in boxing of late, and whilst I believe Castano was the CLEAR winner, the fight was competetive and a few rounds were close, and Charlo did have very good rounds 2 and 10. Regardless of the official scorecards, I am more than down to see a rematch. But hard to not thinking there was Texan cooking going on there with that 117-111 card. Maybe if that card was 114-114 (or at the most wildest edge, 115-113 Charlo), but to say that Castano only won 3 rounds???? :risas3::risas3::risas3:

I disagree.. although I agree it’s very close. I actually gave both Castano round 11 and 12

Charlo's jab was not even in the stratosphere of GGG'S if that is what you are referring to. GGG was jabbing Canelo's head off the hinges, you can't even compare.

And then he made it by pounding Charlo on the ropes or are you just going to throw that under the rug
