    Does Mares know the situation? When they'd get close he would capitulate and allow the break. Does he know that's the only place he can win? Very close round, but Mares' willingness to fight Cruz's fight on the outside played to his opponent. Santa Cruz again.

    Like announcers said, Mares would do himself a service to jab his way in instead of lunging, but he was still forcing the action and the exchanges were pretty equal. Mares' round again for forcing the action.

    Great action from first second of final round. Difference was Mares was flinging Hail Mary's and Santa Cruz had an intended receiver. Santa Cruz didn't even have to engage like he did, but chose to do so and still won the round.
