Ill take mares in that tourney. He clearly took the belt and was robbed in his last fight. Donaire vs mares would be something to watch!

I agree ... ill take mares ... I thought he beat perez ..but I wouldn't call it a robbery ... perez fought a good fight also ... close fight and I had mares ahead but a draw was good enough for me ... donaire and mares would be good ... ill pay for that ..

I don't think donaire should be in the p4p top 10 .. he is good and has a bright future but to say he is top 5 is overhype to me .... p4p #4? Really?

Montiel/Donaire will fight each other. I'm sure the winner of that can fight the winner of this little Showtime tournament.

Id say outlanding a guy by over 100 punches is a robbery when called a draw.

I agree, but in the Super 6 there is WAY too much time between fights.

Agbeko already beat Vic in a fight that wasn't even that good the first time. I have no interest in seeing a rematch.

Fights are scored by rounds, not punches. You can outland him by 200, if you win six rounds or less, you didn't win the fight.

    Scored it a draw myself.

Mares is a future star and this bracket will show it.

So, in other words, there will be a Mares-Perez rematch after all. :yep :good

Then it's a good thing both will lose in the draws described in the thread title.

BTW, Mares vs. Perez I was a draw on my scorecard...so expect the rematch to again be exciting, close and competitive.

Mares won. He was beating Perez's ass in the last 3 rounds. Perez didn't want anymore. I fully expect Abner to stop him when they fight again.

Neither of those statements being true negates the fact that each won six rounds.
