I don't think he actually dropped 4 or 5 rounds against Easter, though. I scored 3 rounds for Easter myself, and I think the judges were all in the right ballpark.

Spence looks like he weighs 175-180 there.

Easter was defensively aware enough to avoid getting caught with anything he didn't see coming. Give him props for that, I really thought he wouldn't hear the bell after the kd.

Oh well, we'll have to agree to disagree, Mikey was very inaccurate throughout the first 8 rounds, and Easter's jab was on point and very active, the crowd's reaction to anything that came close to landing threw people off IMO. This was supposed to be a blowout easy KO win for Mikey. He looked average now for the second time in a row.

I'd rather have a broken nose and fight than be hit in the balls 150 times. Mikey's still a ***** doe, and Loma isn't.

you forget that many people had a thrice beaten linares-loma pretty close before the ko, mikey just cruised through an unbeaten physical freak. neither fight says anything new about how mikey-loma would go. imo mikey too big and skilled for loma.

Easter Jr was absolutly awfulllll. Pathetic boxer who ran the last half of the fight. Anyway, Garcia is good. I thought he was kidding about Spence but suprisingly he is serious. I think he is too small for him. Garcias problem is his lack of power. His power is only ok. If he had more power he would be more dominant. I def favor loma to beat him now. Only thing is Mikey is way bigger then loma and that could be a factor.

He was catching or at least partially evading almost all of those jabs. But despite scoring it a shutout I was disappointed with Mikey the second half of the fight. He let Easter in it with his activity, and he was content to walk Easter down and land just just enough to back him up and win rounds, but he didn't setup anything more. Mikey cruised late, and I don't rate his performance as more than a solid B overall.

Many had Commey, Shafikov and Fortuna beating him, he was the A-side in all of those fights, so he got the decisions, an argument could be made he was thrice beaten as well. Mikey did marginally better than those 3.

Headbutts are no more illegal than low blows and I'm pretty sure you can't spawn children with your hooter.

I just want to thank Easter for not doing that annoying head shake when he was getting pummeled on the ropes. Props bro.

I thought his jab was effective, Easter is rangy and a little awkward, and he snaps that jab with authority. But after the first two rounds, I didn't think he was ever especially effective with it. I thought it was a game effort, and his style definitely proved tricky for Mikey. Easter had the right idea, and I think he's better than he looked tonight, because I think Mikey is pretty solid. He shows glimpses of greatness, although he also has some lulls that leave you wondering what his ceiling might be.

Mikey's P4P status elevates for me. Not to the level of a Lomachenko, a Crawford, or dare I say, even an Usyk. But he's in the top 10 discussion, and I think tonight helps solidify that, rather than detract from.

Crawford and Garcia have very similar resumes and quality of opposition. Neither of them have fought top level prestige fighters. It's pretty much been a parade of paper champs and alphabet titleholders for both. Except Crawford dominates them and Garcia does not.
