    I hear ya.

    I feel like Quigg isn't built to win the sort of fire fight Valdez has shown himself capable of in his past few fights, to be honest, especially the great Marriaga scrap.

    I feel like he's been a big fish in a small pond and we likely saw him peak more than a few years ago now. Just my opinion though.

    Personally I think you're underrating and undervaluing Quigg here, he's a deceptively good boxer when he wants to be, he might be the best guy Valdez has shared the ring with skillwise.

    He looks skilled and a capable operator, but I've never seen him do it against a top class opponent. That's where my hang ups on him come from. I'm always dubious of fighters unwilling to travel.

    The last two fights Valdez has been in, he's been anything but a high class operator, that's the catch. He's been a mindless brawler.

    Yeah, he hasn't looked his best in his last two bouts, I have no problem admitting that. I personally feel that I've seen a more than the sum of his parts fighter in Valdez at times, but that's just my gut intuition, maybe just my love for a fighter who knows how to throw a proper left hook to the body and head. :eek:

    Haven't drank since the super bowl. Huge stretch of time for me to not have a "few." since then I've only had 2-3 single beers in that entire stretch.

    A puncher's chance, that's about it. I like Sergey, but he's easy to hit, and the last quasi skilled boxer he faced in Lydell Rhodes, he lost the first 5 rounds, if he loses the first 5 rounds against Mikey, he probably gets violently KO'd.
