HBO does this regularly too. The last time I remember them doing so was for Cotto-Clottey, which followed the network premiere of The Dark Knight.
Big ****ing deal. HBO has done the same thing numerous times in the past and I bet they'll continue doing it. I remember the first time I got a glimpse of Fernando Vargas it was during a free HBO weekend when he faced Ike Quartey.
Same here, at least HBO has other good programming besides boxing like the Sopranos and The Wire. Showtime only has boxing.
Don't forget about True Blood and Curb Your Enthusiasm. Only Showtime show I ever cared to watch was Family Business.
Yeah, Great thread. I mean HBO never does a free boxing weekend, just a few weeks ago we had to pay for Alexander-Urango... wait, that's right HBO does that too. so this thread is a waste of forum space.
