Steve, having this a draw through eight is grounds for being publicly flogged. :roto2lol:

    90-81 Guerrero

Doing a really nice job neutralizing Berto's left jab by disintegrating it with his right. He's watching patiently and reacting to Berto, playing the counter-puncher, but also getting his points on the board during lulls by tossing long jabs or left hand leads at the chest of Berto from range. Berto forcing some phonebooth brawling, except he's getting the worst of even that. Cuffing right hooks by Guerrero vs. grazing high looping rights from Berto at mid-range late.

    100-90 RG

Guerrero is just force-feeding him right jabs in the mouth. Berto twitching side to side, popping a strong left jab and looking for spots to shred with flurries of hooks but waiting too long. Bad rabbit punch from Berto. Guerrero is annoyed, wants to give Berto a receipt in the remaining eleven seconds. He does, in the form of hard left uppercuts spammed into the lungs and throat.

    Pretty clear shutout IMO.

@drenlou just went back and looked, you gave Berto the 2nd? I guess that's fine, it was probably the closest.

****'s sake, Al, you're bumming me out with this stuff.

"I suppose with closing the show in the last couple of rounds Guerrero might have just eked this out", what? Are you hitting your colleague Steve's crackpipe now? That depressed about hitting the unemployment line?

    Final ShoStats:

    Jabs
    Guerrero 39 of 138, 28%
    Berto 27 of 161, 17%

    Power
    Guerrero 86 of 186, 46%
    Berto 69 of 144, 48%

    Total
    Guerrero 125 of 324, 39%
    Berto 96 of 305, 31%

    Body
    Guerrero 53
    Berto 23

Bullf***ingsh*t did Berto land a higher percentage of power shots. :nono: I don't trust these, at all.

98-92 x2, 99-91 UD for RG. Good scores. I was worried by bogus ShoStats and commentator shilling, but all's well that ends well.

In what is probably his last televised victory interview, Guerrero gives obsequious thanks to his lord and savior Jesus Christ. Cringe bro.

I've always liked Robert but he's always been cringe as hell. Remember when he was pushing CrossFit as the future of boxing training?

"A little more one-sided on the judges' than perhaps I said it", quoth Farhood with a snooty sneer. Yeah no kidding man, your scorecard was atrocious. Future generations watching the last ever Showtime broadcast will not have a very flattering impression of your fight judging ability, congrats.

    "We all like one another"

Yeah, they might tell you that, Jim Gray, but I promise you're the guy that isn't on the group text. I mean, the real one.

Literally everything Showtime is gassing themselves up for doing, HBO did as well or better. :deal:

So the first Primetime vs. El Rayo match (on the Benavidez vs. Plant undercard in March) was controversial? I missed that card.

Not too familiar with either of these guys tbh, especially Valenzuela. Both have decent wins but largely over spent fighters (ie Bandido Vargas, Miguel Beltran, Jezreel Corrales) - best overall is probably Colbert's over Tögstsogt Nyambayar.
