HBO is refusing to put Rigondeaux on screen. The fighter who did the aggression in the Donaire fight, outhrowing, outlanding the champ, busting his face up and displaying sweet science at the absolute highest, he's not good enough for those ****s.

Bob is not doing much either, like Gamboa, Rigo was supposed to play the "quality name on a marketable fighter's resume" part, but G wanted none of that. Of course if Bob did his job, building Rigo up, maybe HBO would be more open televising the best fighter on the planet besides Floyd.

Arum and HBO, what a combo!

If GBP build Mares up, maybe the 3 division champ wouldn't be making 1/2 of what 11 fight Rigo is making.

My understanding is Rigo's minimum is 450k, probably more than Mares has made in his life

Mares is fighting good names in a row and fighting often, same thing Rigo can't say cause of his inept promoter and network that couldn't recognize a great fighter if you pointed out one. (I don't think there can be a better pointer than what he did to the FOTY and #3 P4P but hey).

You really think he didn't earn $450k vs. Perez, Darchinyan, Agbeko, Morel, Moreno, Ponce and the rest of his career combined? :rofl

It matters not a goddamn thing however, what's the point of a high guarantee if you only get paid if you ACTUALLY FIGHT. I'm pretty sure Rigo would've preferred a Mares type of career so far.

Rigo has no grounds to complain. If he's unhappy, talk to Lara or Gamboa for some perspective.

    1. he got set up for interim belt vs used up contender in his 7th fight. Put up a bad performance that didn't set him back in bit
    2. Got immediate shot at brand new champ, Haymon client Ramos
    3. Kept busy on TV vs Kennedy
    4. Found him excellent opponent Poonsawat on short notice
    5. In his 12th fight got a shot vs p4p Donaire, for 2x what the much more marketable Mares got for his PDL 3rd div title shot

So why this Arum/HBO mess then? Where is his next big fight?

Crediting Top Rank on this front is asinine since they defaulted on a purse bid, walked away from the promotion, and could have easily cost Rigondeaux his shot at the belt and were responsible for the even smaller purse he received.
