Showtime PPV: Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Conor McGregor & Nathan Cleverly vs. Badou Jack RBR.

What a let down.

 

I don't think he was carrying him, but I definitely think he was taking a look and working him out as the fight wore on; and part of the reason why McGregor gassed was due to the fact he was having to work twice as hard as Floyd was to initially stay a quarter step ahead...and then an eighth, and finally just stay level with Floyd. Mayweather looked like an old man; but he adopted the old man approach to perfection and ground down his larger foe as a result.

Archie Moore couldn't have done it much better.

 

Floyd is old with shot legs lmao. Connors "slickness" did more damage to himself with fatigue over anything he did to Floyd. Old Floyd was still accurate and even Connor himself said he couldn't believe Floyd's composure lmao

Oh, I think Floyd clearly expected something a little different from Mac, and did seem a bit surprised at well Mac was boxing at first. I know I was. When I say CM did a serviceable Vitali impression, I mean it as a compliment. That style is a pain in the ass to face, especially if you're trying to counter-punch. I think Mayweather realized that he wasn't going to be able to win by staying on the outside and decided to move forward and grind from the fourth round on; and that ultimately proved to be the approach he needed to take to win the fight.

 

The drunken master Emmanuel Burton was far more slicker and far more awkward and way more effective. Connor was just younger with fresher legs. Still drunk I see from last night. Calm down there.
