Social Media is a disease on Human Interaction and Society in general. I wish i was born in the 70's and spent my peak adult years in the 90's

I’d say right now ESPN+ is the leader in the clubhouse in the USA. Showtime and HBO streaming (no extra fee for their movie channel subscribers) have also staked out this territory.

DaysInn IMO is fighting an uphill battle. It’s going to have to offer a lot more (besides basicaly Euro boxing) to gain a foothold in America. Eddie’s first show isn’t going to do much (Miller-Adamek wouldn’t be watched on free TV) and Wilder-Fury has knocked AJ-Povetkin off the radar.

Eddie is going to have to overspend by a huge margin to grab some headliners (as in main event USA fighters whom U.S. fans care about) and then put them in big, attractive matches to have a chance.

The biggest problem is that the streaming landscape is crowded (Netflix, Amazon, Youtube Red, CBS, WWE network ... etc, etc) and people are already rebelling against being asked to pay for service after service. A service has to offer something people feel they just can’t live without (Netflix has done the best with must-see original programming, but there are also rumblings that they’ve spent so much to gather market share that they are going to have to tap out soon) and DaysInn needs to make a much bigger splash to have a chance.

    Funny story
I’ve been at a bar traveling and watched a table full of folks not talk but have their faces buried in the phone as I have an excuse because I’m all alone on the roads
Growing up in the late 70s was very COOL

The model is awful for you guys across the pond in all honesty.

Charging you guys at minimum 2/3 times what us Brits pay for the same fight is a joke, and something I can't believe 'the land of the free' is taking so lightly.

But what doesn't help on the other hand, is not giving something like DAZN a chance, to see what it's all about.....Especially when it's $9.99 a month, features a free month which would cover both the Miller/Vargas and Andrade/BJS events, and also contains a whole lot of other sporting events.

You don't have to subscribe with a contract, it's literally $9.99 for 1 month whenever you like.

If it doesn't work, it doesn't work.....But give it a shot.

The problem is most of us wouldn’t watch those fights on free TV. Adamek? Really? SMFH.

I guarantee you more people in the U.S. will pay full price for Wilder-Fury than will sign up to watch AJ-Povetkin on DaysInn for FREE.

What other sporting events does DaysInn USA provide? In America, they need NFL or major college football or something besides darts.

So you're comparing showtime PPV which has been around for years....With a new streaming service which hasn't even started yet?

And Miller v Adamek is 'Free TV'.....So too is Andrade v BJS.....and Joshua v Povetkin.

I think Eddie might have to take it event by event and build up his own guys.
Miller with his persona will be a popular heavyweight, no doubt. It's that kind of guys in front of large crowds that might lead the way for him.
The fights will have to be competitive, even if they are mismatches on paper.

Remember Morales vs Maidana? One of the worst PPV's to this day! On paper... In reality it turned out to be a fantastic night. Maidana-Morales was a brilliant war. Katsidis vs Guerrero did not quite live up to the hype but was still quite fun. James Kirkland got KTFO by Ishida. And both Malignaggi and Garcia were tested in fun scraps.

Big fight atmosphere is a powerful tool. Add to that competitive fights and you generate a lot of interest. (there are still a lot of tickets available for "World Collide")

The grass is always greener on the other side.
Social media has also brought upon tons of benefits to us as a whole.

Everything is a damn disease to society anyways. ****, i remember people bitching about others always talking on their phones and having too little face to face time.
Or let´s go back a bit further when some were told to put down their books and go outside to see the real world.
Now it's seen as a positive to bury you face in a book day and night.

Like the old saying goes, if it is too good to be true it probably is....

Somewhere down the line as with everything, something will happen and you will pay more....
The whole system or platform or whatever you want to call it, is designed to extract your hard earned and people still fall for it and pay more and more and more and more!!!
