    Do not mislead: Sauerland created this opportunity by convincing WBO to make Kessler mandatory after defeating 6th ranked Mehdi Bouadla (a guy with less fights at SMW then Kessler's title defences); this was a seriously planned "opportunity"

    Well said. If Kessler tries to unify, it could become interesting. If Sauerland sits on the belt, like he did before wirh other fighters, that would be a shame.

    I doubt that Kessler will allow that. He has always said that he wanted to fight the best so I'd expect him to look for a big fight if he gets by Stieglitz and there should be plenty of oppotunities out there:

    Bute, Pavlik, Ward, Froch, Hopkins etc. The division is stacked so the big fights are there to be made.

    Kessler will try to get the winner of super6 if he takes Stieglitz's belt (take a look at this old, pre Bute-Magee, "garbage" post ;)

    I hope somehow Bute-Pavlik goes to Atlantic City on the same card as Ward-Froch 29 oct., as Showtime seem to had hopped to have in the first place Bute-Kessler

    Speaking of Stieglitz vs. Kessler; i've read negotiations have failed over location; any news on when the purse offer will happen?

    Kessler doesn't decide who he fights. He said it himself. If he did, he would face bute this fall.

    it goes to purse bid ; i've read somewhere Sauerland tried to get Stieglitz to Denmark by giving him 500.000 euros

    So, whatever org he holds a belt too pulled a quick enforcement of a mandatory? Stieglitz would normally be able to put this off for at least a year. Not saying it is a bad thing though. Just no one has specifically posted that this was forced on him at this time.

    I think he is a solid fighter. Nothing special. I have no idea if he is subject to 'Haye Fever' though. :lol:
