Are you ****ing kidding me??? The corner did exactly what they were supposed to do. Protect his ****ing health. No point on continue the punishment.

 

His strategy was sound for the most part but he just NEVER adapted. Once it began apparent around round 5 or 6 that Valero wasn't slowing down, he needed to throw caution to the wind and just gun it. He never did. Props to Valero for some crafty moves technically when it came to avoiding punches.

 

I second that. I've also been wanting to see Valero-Katsidis. But honestly, I think Valero makes a good fight with just about anyone.

Wow, what a performance by Valero. He's proved a lot tonight, a lot of people are waiting for him to get schooled but this display has got to have turned some heads. Valero showed way better skills than I and many had previously given him credit for. His output was tremendous, and he was way more elusive and defensively sound than one would give credit for to a supposed one dimensional slugger. After tonight I don't think that description can be levelled at him anymore anyway.

On the other side, I hope that DeMarco comes back not too affected by the amount of punches he ate tonight. The guys got some good skills, a great chin and a nice jab too, he was just beaten by a better fighter, simple as that.

The only way is up for Valero.

 

My guess is that this will be listed as "RTD9".
